Thanks to the efforts of many dedicated volunteers, the Sewickley Academy Home & School Association continued to support Sewickley Academy in a number of ways, first and foremost, through fundraising events.

The Home and School Association awarded over $100,000 in grants to Sewickley Academy. These funds were used to purchase iPads for faculty and staff, instruments for the Music Department, and projectors for the History Department. In addition, we continued to support our G.I.F.T Program – Grants for Innovative Frameworks in Teaching – where teachers are encouraged to capture unexpected opportunities for innovative and interdisciplinary projects.

Fundraising efforts included: The 60th Annual Clothesline and Used Book Sale raising $111,354.81; Scholastic Book Fairs; School Picture Day; and Kennywood Day.

In addition, The Home & School Association funded various events such as: Senior School Graduation Dinner, Middle and Lower School Commencements, Issues and Education Presentations, Faculty and Staff Luncheons, Art Can Travel, and Lower School Field Day.

Finally, volunteers spent countless hours in the classrooms, the libraries, and on campus, enhancing our children’s experience at Sewickley Academy.
