A Message from the Chair of the Board

The 2013-14 year began with the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Senior School during Reunion Weekend and culminated with the total renovation of the Oliver Building. These two events say a lot about the culture of Sewickley Academy, that we celebrate our heritage while always looking to the future.

We saw iPad Airs come into the hands of our faculty and we heard Wade Davis speak on his coming-out story and his experiences in the NFL. Our students celebrated athletic championships, sold out theatrical performances, and donated countless hours through volunteering. Through the milestones, the regular work of learning and teaching continued during one of the coldest winters in recent history.

Through it all you, our generous supporters, stepped up to ensure that Summerbridge Pittsburgh can continue to provide summer learning for talented, underserved students in our region. You volunteered to bring treats for faculty and helped at the Clothesline Sale. You fully funded the Oliver Building renovation. You helped us achieve a record breaking year for both Annual Fund and the Auction. Thanks to your generosity, the Sewickley Academy tradition endures now and into the future.
