Home and School Association

The Sewickley Academy Home and School Association continues to support Sewickley Academy through the time, effort, and contributions of our dedicated parent community. We accomplish this by sponsoring many school events and providing funding and grants, which are all made possible through our fundraising efforts.

Our 61st Annual Clothesline and Used Book Sale raised $111,838. Our other fundraising efforts included our Scholastic Book Fairs, School Picture Day, and Kennywood Day.

During the 2014-2015 school year, the Home and School Association awarded over $143,000 in grants to Sewickley Academy. These funds have been used for the expansion of Sewickley Academy’s wireless network, dance studio enhancements, purchase of equipment for our Senior School science department, and musical instrument storage racks for the music department. We continued to further fund our Grants for Innovative Frameworks in Teaching (G.I.F.T.) Program, and made a generous donation to Sewickley Academy’s Capital Campaign.

The many school events the Home and School Association continues to support include back-to-school and end-of-year faculty and staff luncheons, Issues and Education presentations, Lower School Art Can Travel, Lower School Field Day, Senior School Graduation Dinner, Middle and Lower School Commencements, and the enhancement of library collections.

Our wonderful parent volunteers spend countless hours in the classrooms, the libraries, and on campus enhancing the experience and education of the students and supporting the faculty of Sewickley Academy.
