The 10th Annual Hansen Cup Memorial Golf Outing took place Monday, September 14, 2015, at Allegheny Country Club on one of the most beautiful days of the season. The golf committee raised more than $45,000 to benefit a current student by awarding him or her with the W. Gregg Hansen Memorial Scholarship.
Eighty-eight golfers enjoyed lunch on the terrace and the chance to purchase raffle tickets for the silent auction. The 22 foursomes then teed off with a shot-gun start at 1:00 p.m. After an exciting round of golf, guests enjoyed a buffet dinner and cocktails on the patio. Head of School Kolia O’Connor opened the program with remarks regarding the importance of this fundraising event for students and the community. He then turned the floor over to alumnus Jeff Lenchner ’77, who originally founded the golf outing with Gregg Hansen ’77 prior to his passing. Jeff spoke about his ties with the Hansen family and thanked everyone for their participation. He then announced the 2015 Hansen Cup Champions.
